NC leader Rai's condition critical

KATHMANDU, July 4: The health condition of senior Nepali Congress leader and democracy fighter Bal Bahadur Rai has deteriorated.



Rai is undergoing treatment at TU Teaching Hospital. The former minister was admitted to the hospital five days ago. NC Mahasamiti member Ramhari Khadka said Rai’s condition is critical.



The 89-year-old leader is suffering from multiple problems including kidney failure.



NC vice president and parliamentary party leader Ram Chandra Poudel visited the hospital this morning to acquire information about Rai’s condition. Poudel prayed to the almighty for Rai’s recovery. Party acting president Sushil Koirala had also visited the hospital on Saturday.
