ITAHARI (Sunsari), Nov 7: Former Deputy Prime Minister and General Secretary of Nepali Congress (NC), Prakash Man Singh has expressed sadness over the crisis Nepal is facing due to the unofficial blockade by India and the ongoing agitation by the United Democratic Madhesi Front in the Tarai.

Addressing a programme organised by the Ganeshman Singh Foundation, Sunsari in Dharan on Saturday to launch a book titled 'Mahanayak Ganeshman' penned by senior journalist and NC leader Giriraj Acharya, Singh said that NC is closely observing the agitation and that it would play an active role in resolving the problem.

He said that some feudal leader of Madhes-based parties are trying to take advantage in the name of the protest only to fulfill their vested interests and that the people from the Madhes should understand the motive behind such move.
