NC flays Maoists' resolution against president

KATHMANDU, May 20: Nepali Congress has protested against Unified CPN (Maoist) move to register a resolution demanding parliament’s instruction to the president to withdraw his May 3 order to army chief to stay in office.

An informal meeting of the party’s Central Working Committee members available concluded that the issue of president’s orders to army chief to stay in office was under consideration of the Supreme Court and can not be debated in the parliament.
