The first point of the agreement states that both the parties have agreed to work together for the betterment of the national flag carrier. The second point says the protest has been called off for the time being.

As a part of the strike, which had extended for 20 days, NAC employees halted domestic flights of NAC for 10 days and barred high-level officials from entering the office premises for 20 days.

The employees had started protest after the government permitted Air Arabia to operate flights on Kathmandu-Kualumpur-Kathmandu route, one of the most profitable sectors of the national flag carrier.

The government had suspended permit issued to the UAE-based carrier on Dec 15, following strong pressure from the employees.
