Not only the NA Chief, but also the senior officers of the NA brigades, battalions, and companies inside the ring road in the Kathmandu Valley reached office today on bicycle. Some of the NA officers, however, used the public vehicles to be on duty.
It may be noted that the NA this week directed its officers not to use office vehicles for coming to office on every Friday. They have been instructed either to use public vehicles or bicycle or come on foot. As per the directives, NA senior officers could not use office vehicles while coming to duty and returning home on Friday.
Talking to RSS, NA Spokesperson Suresh Sharma said the NA has launched a new campaign within the institution with a view to contributing to the environment and it is equally beneficial in view of personal health and financial savings. Besides, it is expected to minimize valleys´ traffic congestion to some extent, he said, adding, "It is also an opportunity to boost up our public relation as we meet many people and our well-wishers on the way."
NA is hopeful that the campaign spreads a positive message among the people about the NA. High-ranking officers at the NA headquarters including the Maharajgunj, Chhauni, Narayanhiti and Singha Durbar barracks are with the campaign, it is learnt.
