MPRF-R for present govt to continue as national consensus govt

KATHMANDU, Dec 31: Madhesi People’s Rights Forum-Republic (MPRF-R) has stressed a package deal and proposed restructuring of present Baburam Bhattarai-led government to convert it into a national consensus government.



However, the party has also proposed an alternative to the present leadership by picking a new prime minister among the leaders within Federal Democratic Republican Alliance (FDRA), a press statement issued by the party today after its central working committee meeting reads. [break]



The party is also with an opinion that the present differences in the number of the federal states should be resolved through new Constituent Assembly (CA).



“The party won’t accept Nepali Congress or UML leadership sans consensus in a package,” the statement adds.
