Motiram Bhatta award to Raya

BHADRAPUR, Aug. 7: Eighty-one-year-old Radhika Raya of Bhadrapur municipality-12 is to be felicitated with the Motiram Bhatta Literary Award for her lifetime service to Nepali language and literature.



The award carrying a purse of Rs 30,000 along with a copper plaque will be presented to her on the occasion of 147th Moti Jayanti, said coordinator of the award nomination committee, Madan Dhakal.



The award will be offered amid a programme to be organized at Triphala National Library on August 17.



The funding source of the award is the interest received from a revolving fund instituted by the late Chhatra Bahadur Basyal for the establishment of Triphala Library in Dhulabari, Mechinagar.
