KATHMANDU, Sept 18: The monsoon’s low-pressure axis is currently positioned near its average location. Moisture-laden winds from both the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal are also influencing the weather, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).
The MFD has warned of heavy rainfall at one or two places in the hilly and terai regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces today.
Heavy rainfall forecast in Bagmati, several provinces
As the weather remains generally cloudy throughout the country, there is a possibility of moderate rainfall in some hilly regions, including Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and at a few places in the remaining parts of the country, the MFD reported.
Tonight, the weather will continue to remain generally cloudy throughout the country. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall at a few places in the Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as at one or two places in the rest of the country.
