Mixed bag for Rana

KATHMANDU, jan 16: Mayanka Rana of Nepal had a mixed result in the ITF Asia 14&U Development Championships 2013 - Division 2 on Wednesday. Rana defeated Peng Wang of Bhutan 4-2, 4-0 in the first round of the games being held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam but was defeated by Tiffany Linh of the host country in the second round.



Despite the defeat, Rana is still in the main draw and can play consolation matches. In other consolation matches of Nepal, Bibhuti Karki defeated Laxmi of Bangladesh 4-0, 4-1 and Samrakshak Bhushan Bajracharya beat a Mongolian player 5-4, 4-1. [break]
