Speaking at a function at B P Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan this morning, Mahato ruled out the possibility of the formation of a new government by hitting streets as announced by the opposition parties.[break]
Claiming that the government could be formed only from the parliament, Mahato further argued that new government can only be formed through consensus as there is currently no parliament existing in the county.
On the occasion, he also criticized the opposition parties for their proposed street protest program against the government.
“We are urging for promulgating the peoples’ constitution, where as opposition parties are gearing up for street program demanding a new government,” said Minister Mahato.
Arguing that street protest should be used to overthrow only an autocratic government, he stressed on forging a package deal in order to form a new government that would oversee new elections.
