Memoir by heart surgeon Koirala

KATHMANDU, April 29: Dr. Raamesh Koirala, a heart surgeon by profession, joins the relatively small cohort of Nepali writers coming from totally different and technical field with his debut Aamoko Mutu, a memoir.



The book was jointly launched by writers Khagendra Sangraula, Jagdish Ghimire, and youth leader Gagan Thapa on Saturday. [break]



Amid a packed audience in the hall of Nepal Tourism Board, releasing the book, Sangraula said, “The lucid memoir by Koirala interestingly captures the story of his ailing mother who further suffers at the hands of quacks.”







Other speakers also commended Koirala’s effort in bringing out his personal observation, which is yet a general scenario of health profession of Nepal.



Koirala is a heart surgeon at Gangalal Heart Centre, Kathmandu.



The book is published by Fine Print.
