The mechanical bridge will link around half a dozen VDCs of southern Baglung with Parbat district headquarters, Kushma Bazaar.[break]
There will be no dearth of resources for constructing the bridge as industrialists and businesspersons have shown interest on investing.
According to Parbat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), former President of Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and Chairman of Eqrat Engineering Company, Kush Kumar Joshi, Chairman of Global Bank and Central Member of FNCCI, Chandra Dhakal and Chairman of the Road Show Pvt. Ltd, Kalu Gurung agreed to buy shares of the company for investment on the bridge.
Chairman of the PCCI, Ram Krishna Karmacharya said that the three industrialists agreed to give necessary amount as shares.
Joshi is the Director of the Electricity Transformer producing Ekrat Engineering Company while Dhakal is proprietor of Global Bank and International Money Express (IME).
Similarly, Gurung is Chairman of the Housing Company Road Show Real-estate.
It will be easy to expand the rope-way cable car upto the famous religious site, Bhairabsthan in Baglung due to increase of source for share investments.
Though the cost of the bridge has been estimated at around Rs 30 million, commitment for around 60 million shares has been already made so far for the construction of the bridge, according to General Secretary of PCCI, Kedarnath Sharma.
The bridge is going to be constructed on the initiation of the PCCI and the commitment was made by the locals of Parbat district and Balewa area of Baglung. The amount of the big three industrialists has not been included in it.
Ropeway Cable Car Pvt. Ltd has carried out feasibility study for the mechanical bridge, which will be 487 meters long.
After the construction, the bridge will not only be an attraction for the tourists, but locals of half dozen VDCs of southern Baglung district and Kushma Bazaar will also be benefited. It is also expected that the closed Balewa Airport will also come into operation.
