"The chairman will present a paper outlining the struggle program for the sake of peace and constitution," party Secretary CP Gajurel told Republica.
According to party leaders, the struggle program will be held in both the villages and cities, in a peaceful manner.
"The party will hold interactions and mass meetings throughout the country," party politburo member Agni Prasad Sapkota told Republica.
The last meeting of the Central Committee had decided to launch the protests in the streets, in the government and in parliament, against the “conspiracy to revive the 1990 constitution and maintain the status quo.”
According to Sapkota, the meeting will take a firm stand on the framing of an “anti-imperialist and anti-expansionist constitution.”
"We want that the Constituent Assembly (CA) ensures a form of government in which an executive president is directly elected and identity is the basis for federalisation," said Sapkota.
Party leaders say the hardline faction led by Maoist Senior Vice-chairman Mohan Baidya will also demand vociferously the resignation of Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai to open the way for a national consensus government.
"We are open to leadership change in the government and a consensus government. The Standing Committee will take a decision on the issue," said Sapakota, who is close to Dahal.
