Maoists holding rallies nationwide on Tuesday

KATHMANDU, April 5: Maoists are holding demonstrations across the country on Tuesday to “create pressure on the political parties for timely drafting of the constitution and for taking the peace process to its logical end”.



As per the schedule, mass meetings would be held in all 75 districts and central level leaders would address these meetings.



The party has stated that the rallies are being held to defeat the “conspiracy being hatched to derail the peace process and disrupt the constitution-drafting process”.



Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal will address the rally in Kathmandu, party vice-chairman Dr Baburam Bhattarai in Gulmi, another vice-chairman Narayankaji Shrestha in Gorkha, General Secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa in Makawanpur, and Secretary Post Bahadur Bogati in Rasuwa.



The party has stated that the mass meetings would sensitize people about the conspiracy against constitution-drafting and peace processes.
