POKHARA, Aug 12: Top leaders of UCPN (Maoist) have arrived in Pokhara on Sunday afternoon to participate in a training program to be organized for cadres of the party’s Tamuwan State Committee (TSC).
Party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Vice-chairman and Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai and another party Chairman Narayankaji Shrestha, among others, have arrived in Pokhara for the program. [break]
The program is being organized to inform cadres of all eight districts under TSC about the decisions made by the Maoists’ recent central committee meeting. At the program, the leaders will also shed light on the party’s future course of action.
The gathering will go on all day today until this evening at the Pokhara Sabhagriha. On Monday, the TSC will hold its meeting during which the posts lying vacant after the party split will be filled up.
Meanwhile, cadres of Youth Association Nepal, the youth wing of CPN-UML, have waved black flags, in protest, to PM Bhattarai outside the Pokhara airport. They have shouted slogans calling for the PM´s resignation.
