The district police office, Dang, said 10 sets of gelignite and as many detonators, seven-meter-long fuse wire and two mobile phone sets were recovered from Budha.
This is the largest amount of explosives recovered in the district till date.

“These devices can be used to trigger very powerful explosions,” Chief of Dang Police Ganesh Bahadur Air told media persons. Police suspect that the explosives were smuggled from India.
A special search team of Dang district police had recovered the explosives while searching him following suspicious activity late in the night.
Budha said he was taking the explosives to Rolpa, according to police, while returning from Gulmi where he served as a member of Magarat State Committee.
He claimed that he was taking the explosives to blast boulders at home despite knowing that the materials were illegal. He said the insurgency-era explosives were kept at the house in Gulmi where he was staying in Gulmi.
