The Baidya faction has been pushing for people´s revolt as party line, countering party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal´s proposal presented at Saturday´s meeting.
Dahal´s document upholds the party´s current line of concluding the ongoing peace process and constitution writing.
Maoist cultural wing to expose ´ideological deviations´
The Samana Sanskritik Abhiyan, the party´s cultural wing, is going to launch a drive nationwide beginning Monday for exposing the party establishment´s ´deviations´ from its original ideals.
The Abhiyan, in which the Baidya faction is predominant, has set up three regional fronts, with Mohalal Chand and Kishore BK as in-charges of the western region, Maila Tamang, of the central region and Bijay Rai and Ishwor Gyanwali, of the eastern region.
Party Genral Secretary leader Ram Bahadur Thapa, an prominent figure in the Baidya faction, is scheduled to address a program by the group at the Basantapur Durbar Square in the capital later today.
Likewise, party Secretary CP Gajurel, has departed for Butwal, where he will address a program being organized to commemorate the anniversary of Mao Zedong, the founding father of Maoism.
