According to Adhikary´s son Suman, they have accused three Maoist cadres -- Devendra Paudel, Dhruba Adhikari and Prabhu Raj Ghimire -- of the murder.

Muktinath´s hands were tied behind his back, against an alder tree. The killers had used his own muffler to hang him.

The cold-blooded murder shocked the country as well as the international community.

“We had lodged complain earlier too,” said Suman, adding, “However we couldn´t mention the names of those involved his murder earlier. This time around we have lodged another complaint by naming the murderers with the hope that the culprits would be brought to book.”
