KATHMANDU, Jan 16: The UCPN (Maiost) organized a farewell reception to extend its gratitude for United Nations Mission in Nepal (UNMIN)’s contribution towards the peace process in Nepal on Sunday.

At the reception held at Hotel Himalaya, UNMIN chief Karin Landgren urged the political leaders to fulfill the commitments made for peace and timely statue. She stressed that the political parties have to been presented with the challenge of fulfilling the wishes of the public. Landgren is leaving for the UN headquarters in New York on Saturday.

The ruling government, however, did not organize any such program to bid UNMIN goodbye.
