Acche Lal Mahato,24, a resident of Bangaha Thana-3 in the Bihar state of India was arrested from Nagawa tole of Birgunj, two years after he had attempted to kill his wife by pouring acid on her.[break]
His wife Laxmi Yadav suffered burns to her body but survived the attack of her husband.
Acting on a tip-off, a team led by Sub-inspector Shyam Kishore Yadav of the Area Police Office, Nagawa arrested Achhe Lal.
Further investigation into the case is now underway, police said.
