Speaking at a programme on ´Current Political Crisis in the Country and its Solution´ organized by CPN-Maoist Foreign Department in the capital, Saturday, the major political parties have not agreed to forge political consensus to reshuffle the date of the Constituent Assembly (CA) election and on the issue of changing the government. He claimed that the major political parties are to be blamed for dissolving the former CA without completing the task of writing the constitution.
He said the talks between the government and the 33-party alliance led by the CPN-Maoist were stalled as the UCPN (Maoist), NC, and UML, among others, denied deferring the election date and changing the government.
CPN-Maoist leader Gajurel claimed that only 1,300 former combatants fought the decade-long people´s war were integrated in the Nepal Army. It was the insult to ask around 19,000 People´s Liberation Army (PLA) who fought for the national change to surrender.
Similarly, leader of the CPN-Maoist, Dharmendra Banstola, the four political parties are just trying to deceive the Nepali people in the name of holding the CA election and by moving ahead unilaterally.
