Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai administered the oath of office and secrecy to Mahato in the presence of President Ram Baran Yadav at the latter´s office in Shital Niwas. [break]
Mahato took oath of office and secrecy a week after his appointment in the new cabinet formed as part of the five-point deal reached among three major parties and United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) on May 4.
Mahato could not take oath of office and secrecy on May 5 as he was in Janakpur to take part in the fifth general convention of SP.
