Singh, the coach as well as president of Madhyapur said, "The team does not deserve to be in the A division. With such performance, it is better for the team not to be in the A division. Better to surrender for relegation."[break]
From the last seven matches played, Madhyapur, which has a huge fan following, achieved only three points following 3-0 win over the bottom placed Bauddha FC.
Singh who is also the former assistant coach of the national team and skipper made such comments during the post match conference on Saturday. Madhyapur that is in the 13th place, the relegation zone, with 10 points still has slim chances of avoiding relegation. However, Madhyapur´s fate now depends on the outcome of other team´s matches.
In its very first season four months ago, Bhaktapur´s top tier football club, that also runs its own academy, made a bright start in Ncell Cup moving to the semifinal. In the league as well, Madhyapur made an impressive beginning holding champion Nepal Police Club to 1-1 draw and playing a goalless draw against Machhindra in the second match. However, the team faced poor result in the later stage match.

Singh said, "The team has forgotten to play football. The result in the Ncell turned to be curse for us. Based on the result of Ncell we trusted the players, thus we did not bother hiring capable foreign players," said Singh.
Singh also hinted at some of his players´ involvement in match fixing. "The players are ready to be sold for a few bucks and have no commitment toward the team.
Though we have two more matches to play we should not expect win," said Singh, refraining from naming the player involved in match-fixing. Singh, however, promised to disclose the name of the player once he had sufficient proof.
Singh said he was not venting ire due to the defeat. "The management would not have complained had the team lost despite playing well. But the players did not play up to their potential. Players must understand that the club´s investment is entirely for the players."
"Now we would not attempt to secure berth in the A division. The club does not want to invest in football anymore."
On Saturday, Sushil Lama opened the scoring for NRT in the 18th minute. Super-sub African Akeen O Babarurde, who came as a 61st minute replacement of Sequn Eyitayo, netted a brace in the 80th and 88th minutes.
The result lifted NRT one place up to fifth with 22 points while Madhyapur remained steady in the 10th place.
