Dev Kumar Shrestha, 50, a retired head constable of the Nepal police, of Prithvinagar -8, died when the gang of looters comprising more than 20 people fired gun shots at him before robbing the house.They have also beaten other family members of the deceased Shrestha in the larceny.
According to DSP Bishwomani Pokhrel at District Police Office, the unidentified gang looted around Rs 180,000 and 10 tolas of gold from Shrestha's house.
