As many as 12 persons including local leaders of the CPN (UML), Jamaruddin Mansur, 47, and Samasur Mansur, 40, were injured in the incident.
The locals had disrupted vehicular movement in Laxmipur area since 9.00 am Sunday along the Malangawa-Naparpur road section saying the transformer that was sent for maintenance a month ago has yet to be returned.
Locals claimed that the police administration has used unnecessary force over their peaceful demonstration.
