Phulmaya Rai, 34 died on the spot after being hit by a bolt of lightning, informed police.
The deceased´s husband Santosh has been severely injured in the incident. He is undergoing treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan.
The body has been sent to the district hospital, Ilam, for post-mortem.
