Singh was admitted to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH), Maharajgunj, on September 1 following multiple complaints including difficulty to move his legs, back bone pain, gradual loss of memory power, high blood pressure, and kidney problem.[break]
"Seventy-seven-year old leader Singh is recovering in his health,´ said a doctor involved in his treatment. Neurologist KK Oli said, "There is improvement in blood pressure and kidney problems. He can now have meals and can converse."
Oli and Dr. Kanak Bahadur Raut are involved in his treatment.
The meeting of the Council of Ministers on Monday has decided to bear all the expenses for the treatment of Singh, who was also the contender for the post of country´s first President.
Meanwhile, former President of the Raj Parishad and politician Parashu Narayan Chaudhary has also recovered his health. He will be discharged from the hospital within a couple of days, according to his family source.
Eighty-five-year old Chaudhary, who had been admitted to the hospital since September 2, can now take soft food and talk.
