Leader Nepal urges PM Koirala to support Chair Oli

KATHMANDU, Oct 9: CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has asked Prime Minister Sushil Koirala to support Chairman of the UML, KP Sharma Oli, for the leadership of the new government.Calling on the Prime Minister Koirala at the latter's official residence at Baluwatar today, leader Nepal said that it was indispensible to form the new government under the leadership of Oli for ending the existing problem, implementation of the new constitution and reconstruction after earthquake by following the previous agreement including the 16-point agreement among the political parties.

He said, "I discussed with the Prime Minister regarding giving leadership of the new government to the CPN (UML) for ending the existing problems surfaced in the country, not for only the implementation of the new constitution."

Talking to the National News Agency (RSS), the former Prime Minister said PM Koirala informed him that they were holding discussion in their party regarding this and decision on the formation of new government was yet to be made.

Leader Nepal said that he was confident the Nepali Congress would head the country towards the path of development by collaborating with the UML and UCPN (Maoist). RSS
