KATHMANDU, April 1: Laxmi Bank is all geared up to declare the first week of April as ´Health and Safety´ week organzing a mountain bike rally on April 3, Friday. [break]
Apart from giving continuation to its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibilities) activities, Laxmi Bank will also be commemorating the seventhAnniversary of the bank on the day.
The rally will begin at Laxmi Bank´s office in Pulchowk. The participants will ride through the lanes of Gwarko and will head towards Lubu, Madhya Thimi, ending the environment-friendly campaign at Bhaktapur. The rally will disperse at the city of Bhaktapur, where Laxmi Bank will hand over the total remuneration of the event to Patan Hospital, which will be used to facilitate the children´s ward of the hospital.
"Besides working to improve the banking industry of the country, we are also aiming to contribute as much as we can to help our country develop. Therefore, this bike rally campaign is one more of our efforts to push people towards being eco-friendly," Euden Koiral, manager of service excellence in the bank informed.
Koirala revealed that the event already has 100 participants registered and the registration is still open to those who want to be a part of the event.
Adidas is the prime sponsor of the rally.
On the same day, the bank´s branch offices in Birgunj and Janakpur will also be doing other social programs like blood donation campaign and distribution of goods to old age homes.
