The land of one Ramesh Rana, whose wife Tika Kumari had filed for divorce and division of property, in Manpur VDC was frozen by the District Court on December 29. But Land Revenue Office cleared the land six days later and transferred its ownership to Deepak KC on January 17.
KC is Tika´s elder brother and claims that the ownership was transferred for the loan taken by Ramesh while going abroad. Both Ramesh and Deepak claimed they didn´t know that the land was frozen.
Land Revenue Office said it was an oversight on the part of the employees while the court has called it a contempt of court.
