Lama appointed APF chief

KATHMANDU, July 17: The government has appointed Additional Inspector General Kishor Lama as acting chief of Armed Police Force (APF).



A cabinet meeting held on Sunday at the prime minister´s office in Singha Durbar took the decision to this effect.[break]



Lama is promoted to the post of Inspector General of the APF as outgoing IG Sanat Kumar Basnet retired on Friday.



Lama will head the force for only two weeks as he is getting compulsory retirement on July 30 because his service tenure expires on the same day.
