KATHMANDU, Oct 4: Nepali Congress President Girija Prasad Koirala and the UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Sunday met Lok Man Singh Karki, who was the chief secretary during the royal regime, at the latter´s residence at Baneswor Height.

Karki had courted several controversies during his tenure.

Koirala and Dahal had reached there to attend the final rituals of Mahapuran organized there.

While Koirala stayed there for 15 minutes, the Maoist Chairman Dahal remained there for over half-an-hour.

The duo went there after attending a tea party hosted by CPN-UML at the party´s headquarters in Balkhu.

It may be noted that Rayamajhi Commission formed to investigate into the use of excessive force during Jana Aandolan II had indicted Karki as guilty in suppressing peaceful democratic uprising.
