BIRATNAGAR, Feb 23: Former Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala has expressed concern over the erosion of religious tolerance while accusing Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal of trying to destabilize the aforementioned tolerance.

The former Prime Minister’s remarks on the day of Shivaratri, celebrated on Monday, were made in reference to the government´s attempt to appoint a Nepali priest at Pashupatinath Temple last December. The move invited controversy within the country and from India.
