The KMC has allocated Rs 2 million for this purpose. The office said that all ward offices will begin providing computerized services soon. After the ward offices are brought fully under the network, the inhabitants of metropolis can register births, deaths, migration as well as pay home and business taxes online.

According to Adhikari, the networking will also enable KMC to monitor the activities of the ward offices.

The administration chief of the KMC, Mahesh Kaphley said the complaints of service seekers will come down after online services come into operation. People can also use the network to get information about the metropolis and the services provided by KMC.
