KATHMANDU, March 12: Air pollution in the Kathmandu Valley remained at an unhealthy level on Thursday.
According to international air quality monitoring organization IQAir, Kathmandu recorded an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 186 on Thursday, a level considered unhealthy for all living beings.
Kathmandu tops the list of polluted cities in the world
In the global list of most polluted cities, Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan ranked first with an AQI of 190, while Kolkata in India stood second with an AQI of 186. Kathmandu was listed as the third most polluted city.
