KATHMANDU, Nov 30: Kathmandu Gorkhas defeated Karnali Yaks by five wickets in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) match played on Sunday.
Chasing a target of 150 runs, Kathmandu reached 151 for five in 18 overs. Gerhard Erasmus remained unbeaten on 43, while John Simpson scored 41 and Wayne Charlesworth added 34. For Karnali, Nandan Yadav took three wickets and Pawan Sarraf claimed one.

Earlier, after winning the toss and opting to bat first at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground, Karnali posted 149 for seven in 20 overs. Gulshan Jha top-scored with 49 runs, while Pawan Sarraf made 35 and Mark Watt contributed 30.
For Kathmandu, Rashid Khan picked up two wickets.
With this win, Kathmandu moved to eight points and inched closer to the playoffs. Karnali suffered their fourth defeat in the tournament.
