The APF´s Pathibhara Battalion had seized the goods including clothes and pressure cookers from the traffickers for evading customs. They stopped the APF team when they were going to hand over the seized goods to the customs in Kakarbhitta.
Police fired four rounds in the air to bring the situation under control when the traffickers climbed onto the police vehicle and attempted to snatch the seized goods, Deputy Superintendent of Police Panchuram Chaudhary said.
According to Chaudhary, the traffickers also vandalized the APF vehicle and attacked some policemen.
