Sunwar opened the scoring in the 11th minute and doubled the advantage six minutes later to stun the home team. In its attempt to comeback, Menuka Thapa Magar cut the goal deficit in the 43rd minute for Rautahat. But Rautahat failed to achieve equalizer in the second half and was sent crashing out of the tournament.[break]
Kailali will meet the winner among Jhapa and Armed Police Force (APF) in the semifinal to be played on Wednesday. Jhapa will lock horns against APF at Chandranigahapur on Monday.
In the last pre-quarterfinal match of the tournament, Banke thrashed Rupandehai 6-0. Bhadrakala BK and Sumitra Lamichhane netted a brace each for the winning team. Banke dominated the entire match as BK opened scoring in the 11th minute and netted her second individual goal in the 29th minute.
Lamichhane was on target in the 19th and 87th minutes. Nanu Khatri sent the ball past net in 39th minute and Laxmi Thapa met the net in the 75th minute. Banke will meet Nepal Army Club in the quarterfinal on Tuesday.
Nepal Police Club will take on co-host Bara in the quarterfinal match to be played in Simara on Monday.
