Speaking at a program organized to inaugurate the newly built building of District Court in Kailali on Friday, Chief Justice Regmi said, “Despite the challenges, Judiciary has invariably taken the side of people´s aspiration, familiarizing itself with the new context and unfolding incidences.” [break]
Conceding that the justice delivery was not prompt and accessible to service seekers, Regmi said that he was trying his best to incorporate the modern technologies for the unbiased and speedy justice delivery.

Accepting that judiciary had also been affected by the prolonged transition period, Regmi further said, “All the stakeholders should be sensible to fill the vacant posts in the judicial council.” Regmi also informed that judiciary had initiated the process for the appointment of the district and appellate court justices.
He also believed that with the new amendment the justice system, it would be easier and accessible in the future. The new district court building was constructed under the Building Reconstruction and Rehabilitation program of Ministry of Pace and Reconstruction Ministry and Urban Development Ministry under the auspices of Building Construction Department. The cost of the new building is said to be Rs 64.87 million.
