The Morcha led by Rajiv Jha had called a strike demanding unconditional release of a cadre of the group, Amrendra Goit, who was arrested on Monday.
Police on Monday had arrested chairman of Madhesi Virus Killers Amrendra Goit from Maina Karedi and begun investigation over his alleged involvement in kidnaps and extortions, informed Saptari Police Chief Sarad Oli.
Goit-led underground outfit had unified with Jha-led Morcha few moths ago.
The Morcha is in talks with the government.
Jha informed that the recent detention of its party cadre violated an agreement between the government and the Morcha which clearly stated that the government would not arrest any of its party members.
