Journo Sah murder: FNJ, IFJ laud court decision

KATHMANDU, May 31: The Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) on Tuesday welcomed the Bara District Court’s decision to sentence the murderers of journalist Birendra Sah to life term.



The court on Monday gave life term to Mainejar Giri and Ramekwal Sahani and ordered confiscation of their property for their involvement in Sah’s murder.[break]



FNJ, issuing a press statement, has demanded that three other suspects Lal Bahadur Chaudhary, Hareram Patel and Kundan Faujdar, who are still absconding, be brought to justice.



Similarly, the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ also lauded the court decision. Both the FNJ and IFJ have urged to the government take action against all those responsible for killing, threatening and attacking journalists.
