Ugrakanta Jha, a journalist associated with the Chinnamasta FM based in Rajbiraj was arrested on the charge of involvement in the kidnapping of Suresh Yadav, the son of Narayan Yadav, a resident of Dumari Shivasthan in Rajbiraj-10. He was kidnapped by an unidentified group eight days ago.
Jha was arrested on the basis of the complaint filed by the victim side and the matter is under investigation, Police Inspector Bhubaneswar Shaha of the District Police Office, Saptari, said.
A resident of Sakarpur VDC-8 of Saptari, Jha is also the proprietor of Ugrakanta Boarding School, Sakarpura.
It may be noted that Suresh Yadav was released from Dharhara Gram Panchayat of India on Wednesday night. In the process, Pintu Mukhiya of Dharhara, India and Gokarna Mukhiya of Sakarpura-3, Saptari were arrested on the charge of involvement in the kidnapping.
All those arrested are under investigation and custody at the District Police Office.
