MUSTANG, Oct 31: The Jomsom–Kagbeni road section has been fully blocked after a blacktopped stretch collapsed following incessant rainfall.

According to police, heavy and continuous rain caused a section of the blacktopped road between Jomsom and Kagbeni to subside and collapse on Thursday morning, halting all vehicular movement.
The District Police Office, Mustang, said a landslide mixed with mud continues to fall from the hillside in the affected area, further worsening the situation. Police have urged travellers and concerned authorities to note that access to Kagbeni, Muktinath, and Upper Mustang via this route is currently impossible until clearance and repairs are carried out.
