JC transfers 127 district judges

KATHMANDU, July 25: In a major reshuffle within the judiciary, the Judicial Council (JC) on Monday decided to transfer 127 district judges in the country.



"We have decided to transfer 127 district judges out of 128, assessing their performance, discipline, honesty and seniority," said JC Secretary Jeevan Hari Adhikary.[break]



According to Adhikary, all the judges of all the district courts have been transferred. "For example, all 14 district judges working in Kathmandu district court have been transferred to various district courts across the country," he added.



Those working in remote areas have been transferred to developed areas while those in remote areas transferred to developed areas.
