JAT-Nepal turns three

KATHMANDU, Jan 27: Sushil Ghimire, secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, has termed the delay in the appointment of CEO at Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) as unfortunate. "The simple process of appointing a person to the post has been made complex," Ghimire said, inaugurating the second annual general meeting of Journalists´ Association for Tourism-Nepal (JAT-Nepal) here on Sunday.



He also said there was no alternative to expanding fleet of Nepal Airlines Corporation and solicited support from the all concerned for the same. Speaking on the occasion, JAT-Nepal President Hari Raj Joshi requested tourism industry to take media persons as their friends and lend them support and cooperation accordingly.[break]



Representatives of different travel trade associations extended their best wishes to JAT-Nepal on the occasion of its second anniversary. Meanwhile, the annual general meeting endorsed financial report prepared by Treasurer Raju Baskota and asked the central committee to make some revisions to annual progress report presented by General Secretary Sanjok Acharya.
