Janabadi Nepal demands ex lawmakers return salary, perks

ITAHARI, April 2: The Naya Janabadi Nepal Party has demanded that the former Constituent Assembly (CA) members return the salary and allowances they received as the lawmakers for the former CA had failed to give constitution to the country.



In a press statement the party issued today to make public the decision of the party´s central committee meeting held in Dhanusha on March 29-31, the party claimed that the CA election that will be held under four-party syndicate would not give a new constitution. [break]



The statement reads- The nation had to bear ill fate as the senior leaders of major political parties failed to act responsibly and that if the election held under the syndicate of the major four political forces.



The meeting concluded that the nation has to bear this unfortunate state as the top leaders of the major political parties just thought for power game and collect property beyond their income.



The Janabadi Nepal Party has protested all activities brought by the current government and announce the programs of protest as well.



As per the programs, the party would organize protest assembly in Mahottari district on April 23, organize nationwide torch rally on May 3, called for nationwide transport strike on May 4, and erect black flag on former lawmakers´ houses on May 15-21.
