International media mission in Biratnagar

PANITYANKI, Feb. 25: The visiting International Media Mission arrived in Biratnagar in order to garner information about media situation on Friday.



The Mission inquired information about the security to journalists and press freedom in the regional at a programme with the journalists, civil society and representatives of the political parties.[break]



The eastern regional has witnessed spate of attack, threats and intimidation on journalists from various quarters.



The team comprises representatives from Pakistan, India and Britain. The team is led by Secretary of the Federation of Nepalis Journalists (FNJ), Jagat Nepal.
