"Maoist combatants should in no way be integrated into Nepali Army," said Yadav, who is also Minister for Foreign Affairs.
He said the Maoist combatants can be recruited for border and industrial security forces besides providing them opportunity of foreign employment. Yadav added that the Maoists should hand over the arms of their combatants to the government.
On the issue of recent war of words between Chief of Nepali Army and the Defense Minister, he said the controversy should not be misconstrued as that of between the government and the army. "The controversy is in fact between the two individuals."
Responding to a query on boarder dispute with India, Minister Yadav said there is no border dispute with India except over Kalapani and Susta. "The dispute over Kalapani and Susta should be settled at political level," he said.
The MPRF chairman also charged that the government has not yet implemented the agreements reached with MPRF in the past. "The Forum can quit the government any time," he warned.
