Industry ministry urges all not to go by any baseless rumors

KATHMANDU, May 6: The Ministry of Industry has urged the general people not to go by any baseless rumors attributed to national and international scientists, among other sources regarding the earthquake.

A press statement issued today by the Ministry requested all to follow the information and request issued only by the Department of Mines and Geology, Industry Ministry and the Home Ministry.


Stating that aftershocks are still taking place till today after the 7.6 Richer scale tremor on April 25, the press statement signed by Joint-Secretary at the Industry Ministry, Dinesh Kumar Ghimire, urged one and all to follow their daily routine by adopting safety measures after examining their houses, work places as well as physical infrastructures as minor aftershocks might occur with Kathmandu as its epicenter in future.
