Indian minister arrives to ink deal on pipeline project

KATHMANDU, Aug. 23: A team comprising the Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas of India, Dharmendra Pradhan, arrived here today to sign an agreement on the extension of the much-anticipated Raxaul-Amalekhgunj Pipeline Extension Project.

Minister of State Pradhan is leading the 12-member Indian team. Nepal and India are to sign the deal on Monday at the Ministry of Commerce.The extension of the pipeline that will start after the signing of the agreement is believed to ease the smooth supply of petroleum products in the country.
